The Hawaiian island chain contains 132 islands, shoals and reefs spread over 1500 miles of Pacific Ocean. There are eight main islands which make up 99% of the land mass of Hawaii.

This quilt represents each of the eight major islands using Hawaiian fabric in the island’s official color:
   Hawaii - Red
   Maui - Pink
   Oahu - Golden Yellow
   Kauai - Purple
   Molokai - Green
   Lanai - Yellow
   Niihau - White
   Kahoolawe - Gray
Blue sashing surrounds each block, representing the water separating the islands.
The blocks are free motion quilted with the Sea Turtle motif. Each quilt is unique.
